MOTIVATION

Nelson Mandela’s world famous quote in 1995 – “Sport is a language that the youth understands” – inspired the UXi Private Education Group to establish the UXi Sport division in 2020 through one of its key subsidiaries.

The year that marked this dynamic organisation’s establishment during an event in South African history that shed the light on the imbalances, uncertainties, inequalities and the ailing HOPE of the youth of our country.

The birth of an all-inclusive sport development platform, with the purpose to use sport as a vehicle to inspire, change, cultivate and develop desperately needed attributes, qualities, and skills needed by our youth through the combination of skills training with high performance sport development, was never more needed than at this exact time. A vision passionately driven with those powerful words uttered in 1995 by the great spirit of the late honourable President, Mr Nelson Mandela.

The platform aims to UNITE our youth, through sport, something we have seen sport do for this precious Rainbow Nation since 1995. It resonates HOPE and OPPORTUNITY for many aspirant sports athletes across many sports codes in South Africa, who needs a development platform to become the best athlete they possibly can, but also ensuring employment and skills for a career IN or AFTER sport. A high-performance individual ready for LIFE!

A journey that brings the first of its kind to the rugby sport code in South Africa! UXi Sport is eXcited about bringing the same development pathway for many other sport codes in the sport economy.
