The LBBRI is the ideal rugby institute for those student-athletes who are truly serious about focusing on perfecting their craft and committing to making their sporting dreams a reality. The Institute’s location allows the student-athletes to commit fully to the high performance programme, whilst still getting a unique “bush” experience.
Nylstroom, also known as Modimolle, is situated in the Waterberg region of Limpopo. It is vast, peaceful and more than three million years old. It is only a 45-minute drive from Pretoria, and due to its proximity to Pretoria, the LBBRI feeds directing into the Blue Bulls Rugby Union – one of the most beloved rugby unions in the world.
Nylstroom is an eco-tourism destination, which offers an abundance of plant and wildlife. There is no shortage of activities to do in Nylstroom, or the Limpopo province as a whole. Activities like hiking, mountain biking, game viewing, horse riding and ziplining makes the weekend a whole lot more exciting!
Limpopo is also home to some of South Africa’s most renowned game reserves and national parks, such as the Kruger National Park, Kapama Game Reserve, Timbavati Game Reserve and the Mapungubwe National Park.
